1st St. Mary's Bay Scout Group

1st St. Mary's Scout Group meet at the All Saints Church Hall on Jefferstone Lane. They have Beaver, Cubs and Scouts and are open to both boys and girls.

Scouts is where young people make new friends, have amazing adventures, and learn new skills. We are always excited to have new members join.

Beavers -  this section is for 6 to 8 years and is the opportunity to make new friends. Joining Beavers is just the beginning of a big adventure where they will have the opportunity to explore the great outdoors, try new activities and learn new things, gain skills for life, have sleepovers and earn badges along the way.

Beavers meet on Fridays from 5pm to 6:30pm

Ist St Marys Bay Scout Group

Cubs - this section is for 8 to 10 1/2 years. Cubs will be mastering new skills, having fun and going on adventures like camping, making new friends, learning about the world around them and helping others, making a difference to their own community and beyond as well as earning badges.

Cubs meet on Fridays from 6:45pm to 8:15pm

Scouts - this section is for 10 1/2 to 14 years. Scouts are go-getters who learn even more skills, try new things, go on wider outdoor adventures learning such skills as map reading, knots, outdoor cooking, 1st Aid, exploring the world around them with an opportunity to do international trips and again earning badges along the way.

Scouts meet on Fridays from 6:45pm to 8:15pm

We are always looking for adult volunteers to allow us to offer an even wider range of activities across all sections. This does not have to be every week but once a month or help support us behind the scenes.

Army Cadet Force

The Army Cadet Force is the army's voluntary youth organisation for young people between the ages of 12 and 18. It is one of the country's leading youth organisations, and is run on military style guidelines so a certain amount of discipline is to be expected.

There is a standard training syllabus (Army Proficiency Certificate ACF) that the Cadets follow, additionally many other courses and activities are available to them. Various additional courses are available to the cadets depending on their interests and skills, and in addition to the training syllabus, they also operate the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme (which is closely linked to the training syllabus).

The Army Cadet Force unit on Romney Marsh is based at the Cadet Hut in Jefferstone Lane, St Mary's Bay. They parade on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 7pm and 9pm.

Complete Martial Arts Schools

Complete Martial Arts (CMA) Schools are held in the St Mary’s Bay Village Hall at Jefferstone Lane in St Mary’s Bay, currently on Monday and Thursday evenings.

The Chief Instructor, Sensei Sean Kinsella 5th Dan, has been training for over 26 years and teaching for 15 years. CMA is registered with FEKO/FMA, WUKF,and the English Karate Council, we attend Kickboxing Tournaments sanctioned by the ISKA, IKF, ICO, and British Light Continuous Council.  

CMA Instructors are certified and follow the NSPCC/CPSU child protection policy via FEKO, CMA also offer approved Examiners for GCSE. All CMA Instructors are DBS Enhanced Police Checked, Fully Insured, First Aid qualified and Child Protection Certified with a minimum of 10 years training.

Levin Club

The Levin Club is your local family social club based in St Mary’s Bay situated on the Romney Marsh. With something for everyone it is certainly a hub for the local community as well as visitors who are always more than welcome.Whether you are looking to have a quiet drink or watch your favorite team on Sky or BT Sport you will certainly find what you are looking for.

Regular activities such as bingo, pool and darts are well attended and enjoyed by the current members along with a dedicated children’s room leading out onto the large garden and covered patio area.

Entertainment is organised by the members committee and includes Live Bands, Race Nights, BBQ’s, Quiz Nights, Live Sports and Children’s Days, teamed with a number or charity events run throughout the year.

We have the best outdoor smoking facilities, which are heated and have an outside flat screen TV so there is no need to miss any of the sporting action.

Romney Marsh Flower Arrangers

The New Romney & District Flower Club is a small club but very friendly, and in its fifty years of existence has never been large. Meetings are held in the St Mary’s Bay Village Hall at Jefferstone Lane in St Mary’s Bay, on the second Monday of each month (Bank Holiday Mondays may differ) doors open at 7.00pm, meetings commence at 7.30pm. 

Over the past two years we have managed to increase our membership and that means we can have a few more demonstrators for the year 2014. Instead of being a predominately a hand’s on club, there will be six demonstrations, four workshops, one visit to Hythe for a open demonstration plus a garden visit.

The New Romney & District Flower Club is a member of the Kent Area of NAFAS.

Visitors are most welcome and a small charge of £4.00 is made for a work shop, £5 to a Demonstration. The full membership current price is £29.00 for 12 meetings, as we have twelve meetings this equates to less than £2.50p per meeting.

Romney Marsh Photographic Club

Romney Marsh Photographic Club is for people of all ages interested in any type of photography. 
They warmly welcome beginners and enthusiasts of all abilities, with members' cameras ranging from bridge an smart phones, to super zoom compacts and DSLR cameras.

St. Mary’s Bay Art Group

St. Mary’s Bay Art Group meet every Monday at the St Mary's Bay Village Hall from 1pm until 4pm.

New members of all skill levels are always welcome. Just come along on a Monday afternoon and join in. The group is very friendly.

The cost is £3 per week which includes refreshments and a professional tutor once a month.

St. Mary’s Bay Computer Club

The St Mary's Bay Computer Club meets at St Mary's Bay Village Hall on Wednesdays 10am to 12 noon and 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The club is run on a friendly and informal basis, with computers set up for use, or bring your own. If you have a computer, some help is always available on Word Processing Spread Sheets - Drawings - Photography - Web Sites. 
Membership fees are  £2 per annum January to December. Anyone who becomes a member then can enjoy a reduced charge of £1.50 per session (morning or afternoon). Should you want to attend the meeting but do not wish to become a member, then the fee is £2 per session.

St Mary's Bay Short Mat Bowls Club

St Mary's Bay Short Mat Bowls Club are are located in St Mary's Bay village hall and play on Tuesday's 2pm-5pm, Wednesday's 7pm -9.30pm and Sunday's 10.30am till 1pm.
Short Mat Bowls is played indoors and is a game for single, double or triple. The rules are straightforward and a game usually last about one hour and a half.

St Mary's Bay Short Mat Bowls Club are looking for new players of any experience to join their friendly and social club.
